Work includes operating varying light and heavy equipment to process compost from raw materials to finished bulk and bagged products. Includes inside and outside work. The City of Hutchinson is looking to fill a Facility Maintenance Technician position for the Recreation Center, Outdoor Pool, Burich Arenas, and other departmental facilities. Position responsible for maintaining, repairing, and practicing preventative maintenance of equipment and mechanical systems. These systems include indoor/outdoor plumbing, lighting, and electric, HVAC, refrigeration, and aquatic systems. Applicants must possess high school diploma/GED or equivalent and 2 years or related experience. Duties include leading and organizing crews for maintenance activities in the following areas: streets, snow removal, streetlights/signs, HATS facility, cemetery, storm water, sidewalks/trails/walkways, equipment and airport. Assists Public Works Manager and performs Manager’s duties in their absence.
