Finance

The Finance Department functions as an internal service department for the various departments and enterprise funds within the City of Hutchinson and oversees all financial activity.

This includes budget coordination, capital improvement planning, financial reporting, debt management, risk management, investment activity, certification of special assessments, payroll and all related accounting services. The department is also responsible for the billing and customer service related to water, wastewater, storm water, and residential refuse services.

The City of Hutchinson follows the code of ethics set forth by the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA).  The GFOA code holds government finance officers to professional, ethical and lawful practices in financial accountability.
