2024 Sculpture Stroll Brochure

About the PAC:

The Hutchinson Public Arts Commission was established in 2006 in order to oversee the donations, maintenance, and funding of public art in the City of Hutchinson, Minnesota.  The Commission acts in an advisory capacity to the City Council and makes recommendations on issues regarding public art.  Public art is defined as any work of art that is displayed in a commercial zoning district on public land, or any work displayed at a municipally owned building.

Sculpture Stroll Background:

The Hutchinson Public Arts Commission created the Sculpture Stroll in 2013 as a way to showcase work from local, regional, and national artists and to beautify public spaces.  we currently have 13 rotating sculptures that are leased from various artists for a period of one year in addition to many permanent pieces that city has purchased through the years of the program.  More information can be found in our brochure.  All work is submitted to and chosen by jury.

We offer a $,1000 honorarium to all selected artists, as well as two awards at $500 each.  People’s Choice is a popular vote award, and the Judge’s Choice is selected by a rotating jury of local artists and art patrons.
