Motor Vehicle Registration

Insurance Information Must be Provided

Every owner applying for a self-propelled motor vehicle or motorcycle/moped registration, re-registration, or transfer of ownership must provide proof of insurance. Acceptable insurance information includes the insurance company’s name, the policy number and the policy expiration date for the motor vehicle or motorcycle.

If you do have your renewal slip:

  1. Place your insurance information on the bottom half of the renewal slip in the area indicated.
  2. Make a check or money order payable for the amount listed on your renewal slip as show in the image below:

  3. Make your check or money order payable to DMV
    • Write your Driver’s License number, vehicle plate number and current phone number on your check/money order.
  4. If you are using one of our drop boxes
    • Place the renewal slip and payment in a sealed envelope and into one of our two drop boxes. One is located in front of our building and one is located in the City Center parking lot.
    • We will process your tab renewal request and mail your tabs directly to the address on your renewal slip.
    • If the address on your renewal slip is NOT current, record your current address on the back of your renewal slip.

If you do not have your renewal slip:

  1. Complete our Tab Renewal Form
  2. Call or Email our office with the vehicle plate number or VIN and request the amount due for your registration.
  3. Write the amount due on the Tab Renewal Form
  4. Make a check or money order payable in the amount of your tabs payable to: DMV
    • Write your Driver’s License number, vehicle plate number and current phone number on your check/money order
  5. If you are using one of our drop boxes:
    • Place the renewal slip and payment in a sealed envelope and into one of our two drop boxes.  One is located in front of our buidling an done is located in the City Center park lot.
    • We will process your tab renewal request and mail your tabs directly to the address on your renewal slip.
    • If the address on your renewal slip is NOT current, record your current address on the back of your renewal slip.
