Absentee Voting for the General Election Will Begin September 20, 2024!
- City of Hutchinson residents may vote at the Hutchinson City Center, 111 Hassan Street SE, from 8:00 am – 4:00 pm, Monday – Friday.
- Special Saturday hours for absentee voting will be held on October 26, from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm and November 2, 2024, from 9:00 am 3:00 pm.
- Special Sunday hours for absentee voting will be held on November 3, 2024, from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm.
- Special extended hours for absentee voting will be held on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm and Monday, November 4, 2024, from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.

If you are not voting in person, you should submit your application by mail or fax at least four days before the election, to ensure adequate mail transit time. The application and instructions for absentee voters voting through the mail can be found below:
To obtain an absentee ballot through the mail, complete the Absentee Ballot application, and send it to Hutchinson City Center. Your ballot will be sent to you when it is ready (as early as 46 days before Election Day).
If you are serving in the armed forces or otherwise living outside the US, you vote based on where you last lived in Minnesota. Your parent, spouse, brother, sister, or adult child can apply for you. Apply early – provide at least two weeks travel time for your ballot to reach you and for you to return it to us.
All absentee ballots must arrive at Hutchinson City Center no later than 8:00 pm on Election Day.
