Sr Network Administrator
The City of Hutchinson seeks applicants to fill a full-time Sr. Network Administrator position.
This position is a technical leadership role supporting both the City of Hutchinson and Hutchinson Utilities Commission. Reporting to the IT Director, this position oversees and strengthens network and cybersecurity programs while providing guidance and backup support to the Network Administrator and IT Technician. Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining cybersecurity strategies; ensuring compliance with state, federal, and industry standards; securing SCADA systems for water, wastewater, gas, and electric utilities; monitoring networks for threats; and managing incident response, training, and disaster recovery planning. The role also supports server infrastructure, backups, Microsoft Windows environments, and IT projects, as well as assisting police departments with digital evidence and mobile technology systems.
Qualified candidates will have a degree in IT or related field with significant experience, strong knowledge of Windows servers, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and network security, and the ability to work collaboratively under pressure with flexible hours.
Full Salary Range: $37.921/hour – $56.881/hour, starting wage depending on qualifications.

Compost Equipment Operator
The City of Hutchinson is seeking applicants to fill a Full-Time Compost Equipment Operator position at Creekside Soils, the City owned and operated compost facility.
Work includes operating varying light and heavy equipment to process compost from raw materials to finished bulk and bagged products. Includes inside and outside work. Generally, Monday – Friday work schedule with some weekend work, depending on season, workload and weather. Requires high school diploma or GED, and 1-3 years relevant equipment operation experience. Valid Class A Minnesota driver’s license for semi operation. Certification from a recognized compost training program, or the ability to obtain within one year.
Grade 140 position; $28.738/hour – $43.107/hour. Starting wage dependent upon qualifications.

Police Officer
The City of Hutchinson seeks applicants to fill (3) Full Time Police Officer positions due to upcoming retirements and to establish an eligibility roster for future needs.
Qualified applicants must possess a minimum of a high school diploma/GED, plus, at minimum, an associate’s degree in police/criminal justice or related field. MUST be P.O.S.T. licensed or eligible to be licensed at time of hire. Laterals are welcomed and encouraged.
2025 Salary range: $32.874 – $49.317 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Shift differential for overnights.
