A Clean Environment is Everyone’s Concern
The City of Hutchinson’s goal is to promote energy conservation and environmental stewardship. The recycling and organic programs encourage residents to find alternative means to waste disposal. Having a choice to use the alternative can greatly reduce our community’s dependency on the local landfill. Land filling is a permanent solution to disposal, whereas recycling and organic disposal creates new products, saving on valuable natural resources.
